Founded in 1999 by Dan Snyder and Tom Hankins, Snyder-Hankins Custom Homes quickly became known for its signature style, craftsmanship, and integrity — earning multiple Parade of Homes Gold Awards and even a perfect score. Today, while Tom has stepped away from the business, Snyder-Hankins continues to build on that foundation of excellence under the leadership of President Dan Snyder and Vice President of Operations Austin Snyder.

As a family-founded, 100% veteran-owned company, our focus remains the same — delivering exceptional quality, transparent communication, and an outstanding customer experience at every step.

Dan Snyder — President

With over 28 years of experience in the custom home industry, Dan has led projects ranging from 14,000 sq. ft. luxury estates to thoughtfully designed screened-in porches and outdoor retreats. As President of Snyder-Hankins Custom Homes, he drives the company’s vision, quality standards, and client experience — ensuring every project reflects precision, craftsmanship, and long-term value.

Dan proudly served over 29 years in the United States Marine Corps, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His leadership, discipline, and commitment to excellence continue to define the company’s culture and the trust homeowners place in the Snyder-Hankins name.

Austin Snyder — Vice President of Operations

Austin has been part of Snyder-Hankins since 2005, developing deep expertise across both client relations and project operations over nearly two decades with the company. In 2018, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management and commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. After nearly eight years of service, he has transitioned to the Marine Corps Active Reserves, currently serving as a Captain, while also pursuing his Masters in Business Administration.

Today, as Vice President of Operations, Austin oversees project execution, client coordination, and ensures that every addition and outdoor living space is delivered with precision, integrity, and clear communication from start to finish.
